I’m from an integrated background but I live, sleep and breathe digital. Which is why part of my university thesis predicted lots of web innovations (many of which happened). And which is why, having graduated with first class honours in Graphic Information Design from Westminster University, I went to work at AKQA as part of the original team of 12.
I have a knack for spotting trends, which is one reason I love digital so much. It’s always new, always changing and you always have to stay one step ahead. And that’s just the way I like it. Although, as someone who’s all about ideas and results, I’m a firm believer that a good idea is a good idea in any medium – you just need to tailor it for maximum effect.
I think it’s this pragmatism combined with my straight talking approach (I’m from Bradford, enough said) that makes me such a good consultant. I’ve worked as a digital designer and also as a deputy creative director at some of London’s best digital agencies – from Modem Media to Profero.
I’ve also helped introduce digital to many DM and integrated agencies – from TBWA\GGT to JWT. And I’ve won a number of awards, including a Cannes Gold Lion and a New Media Age Effectiveness Award. My work has also appeared in publications like Design Week, The Observer and NOISE>FOUR.
My biggest buzz, though, is helping my clients create memorable, engaging experiences that get people not just talking, but acting. And I’d love the chance to create work like that with you – whether digital or otherwise. |
